What I've done:
As a Gamefeel Programmer, my primary focus was to enhance the game's "Juiciness," a term used to describe the level of satisfaction and responsiveness in gameplay. This involved refining various aspects of the game, including gameplay mechanics, user interface elements, and overall player feedback.
One of my key responsibilities was to develop a tool that would streamline the integration of juiciness into all aspects of the game. This tool utilized easing functions to ensure smooth transitions and animations, following the 12 principles of animation.
Specifically, I worked on enhancing the character menu selection process, improving the Heads-Up Display (HUD), and implementing effective game feedback mechanisms. The tool I developed allows us to easily add a juiciness class to components, enabling us to create sequences of effects that enhance the overall feel of the game.
The project was developed by Doryah Games and published by Ankama. You can check out the game on its Steam page.
